I enjoyed this book although the main character's journey of disillusion made me grumpy with my lovely husband for an hour or two. I'd always recommend Trisha Ashley's books (with the exception of 2). This is a book you will like if you like make over stories and stories about people sorting their life out. It is nice and light but with an edge. Not a lot of sexy times but quite romantic. Her other books are good reliable reads too.

I truly enjoyed this book! The humor and the snarky tone are a wonderful blend and kept me glued to the book -- so much so that a dreaded 6 hour layover at an airport flew by! Ms Ashley manages to make everyday humdrum life in the village riveting and a great pleasure to read. She also has perfected the art of conveying a sense of place with a minimum amount of description -- no need to skim over pages of endless verbiage. There are laugh-out-loud moments (without any slapstick which to me is wonderful!) and moments when one's heart aches for both Hero and heroine. I also greatly enjoyed the man's point of view -- it really added to the romance of it all. This was a great read and I strongly recommend it. I'm off to find another book by this splendid author!
I just loved this book. The characters felt like best friends and it was a real page-turner as I wanted to know how the plot would develop to bring the hero and heroine together. If you like Marian Keyes, Jill Mansell and Katie Fforde, you'll love this book. Well worth it.

I love a nice British chick lit, and this delivered.

At times, I got frustrated with our heroine, it took her a while to see the facts! But loved the hero, and that love story was a sweet one. A bit of mystery thrown in, and it was a great time!
This was a funny book, with the typical get rid of old love find new love plot that Ashley writes. As always the village characters add humor to the plot. This book was different than most because it had a little of the mans view point in it as well, I almost wish that Ashley had gone a little further with it! Fun and light read.
Well written, good story, believable characters, amusing and totally feel good. It only feels a bit dated though somehow. Maybe because of the lack of mobile phones............and the, in my eyes, oldfashioned view of a modern marriage.
This story was not as good as her previous books and I struggled to get through the whole book. I am used to her characters feeling so real and usually hate it when I finish a book as I feel I have left behind good friends. These characters did not feel real at all and I was glad to say goodbye.
