Jill Marie has hit the ball the third time with this third book in the Irish Angels Series.

If you have read the previous two then you know the background of the four young women who this series is written about.

This is Kate's story. She is one of the young sisters left at the orphange by their Uncle when they were just small girls and Kate does get adopted by a well to do society couple in New Oeleans who give her the life of wealth and priviledge. She does rememeber her two older sisters and her younger sister and often does wonder what happened to them. Hoping they may have had the same kind of life she did.

Kate does have to deal with the horrors that her older sisters did but she does have to fight for the love of her life who she has loved since she was a young girl.

Kate learns to love and have faith that God will help her through what she faces.

She does find love and family. She is eventually reunited with her two older sisters and how that comes to be is such a blessing to all.

I actually waited till I had the first three books together before I read them one right after another. Now I am looking forward to Sarah's story and all four sisters reuniting.

This was a great story and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good love story. Katie is a very loveable girl.
Very nice ending to the series. Was hoping to have more about the Pinkerton investigation, but that's not the way it was. Am hoping to hear more about Sarah. Maybe a 4th book.
Heart of Glass is a good book. I liked the characters a lot but I wish that Lovie and Megan had been brought into more. I felt with the other two books that the theme of the books were to get them all back together and it seemed that is was an afterthought in this one (even though Kate thought of them often). That being said it really is a good book and I will read it again.
Heart of Glass is the 3rd in a series of books about four sisters separated when they were young. Each book details the life of one of the sisters and introduces that sister to her siblings. The stories are heartwarming, easy reads that make a person feel good. This story was set in the south after the Civil War and portrays the struggles of life in the south after the war for soldiers and survivors. Read how two orphans in need of a family, a stubborn, badly wounded veteran, and a hard-headed female architect pull together to form a family during these difficult times.
I choose this book because it is the third in a series of books by Jill Marie Landis, and it continued the saga of the family that was separated when the Irish parents were dead, and four little girls were separated.... It held my attention from beginning to end. The ending seems sort of weak, but the story is complete , and one can only imagine the "up and down" lives of four little orphan girls as they grow up.
I'd read the preview of this book at the end of the book previous in the series. I was hooked and couldn't wait for this one to come out. I had a reminder set in my calendar so I wouldn't miss it. I kept checking the author's website as well as 's site to make sure I purchased the book the day it came out. Well, the day finally arrived after what felt like eons and I was so excited. Unfortunately, the excitement fizzled around chapter 4. There wasn't anything in this book that kept me wanting to turn the page and see what happens next like the preview/teaser portion did. It was well written but just kinda fell flat. Maybe if I hadn't waited months/years/decades/lifetimes for this one it woulda been better.
Landis has once again done a wonderful job creating a clean, heartwarming historical romance. Hearts of Glass is the third book in the Irish Angel Series. It tells the story of Katie Keene, a girl adopted by a wealthy New Orleans's family. Her adoptive parents take care of her financially, but does not give her the love and attention she craves. She turns as a young girl to the Delany family. They are the Keene's neighbors and Katie and their daughter, become best friends. Katie falls quickly in love with her friend's older brother Colin. Like most young men, Colin barely notices his little sister's friend. When Colin and his father are called to take up arms in the Civil War, the two families drift apart. Years later, after the war, Colin has become an injured, lost soul. Katie is determined to restore his faith and his family home. With Katie, and a promise to his dying sister, Colin is able to find the will to live once again.

Katie and Colin have amazing chemistry. Colin at times is a jerk, but his heart is softened by Katie's love. Landis have created strong characters, both main and supporting. The storyline is strong and there is no "fillers". Each part of this book is a vital part of the plot. It has an easy flow. This book could defiantly be read without reading the other two, but I would suggest reading them all. They all three are wonderful. This is a Christian romance, but is not preachy like most. I was a clean, enjoyable romance.
